Who are Olwen sunglasses made for?
Olwen makes quality XL and XXL sunglasses for larger heads and wider faces at accessible prices. Wide frames, flexible arms and spring hinges help reduce pressure at the temples.
Should I choose XL or XXL?
Choose XL if regular frames feel slightly too small. Choose XXL if you need substantially more width. Compare the product measurements with a comfortable pair you already own.
How should I measure my sunglasses?
Measure a comfortable pair from hinge to hinge across the front. Compare its frame width, lens width and temple length with the diagram on the product page.

Are Olwen sunglasses polarized?
Olwen offers both polarized and non-polarized sunglasses. Check the exact current product page to confirm polarization and lens material.
Are all Olwen sunglasses UV400?
Yes. All Olwen sunglasses provide UV400 protection.
Are blue-light glasses suitable for outdoor use?
No. Olwen Anti-Blue Light Computer Glasses are designed for indoor screen use and are not UV400 sunglasses.
Is a protective case included?
Yes. A protective hard case is included with every pair.
Prescription lenses
Can I order prescription lenses?
Eligible product pages show a prescription-lens option. Custom prescription orders normally take 10–15 business days. Because the lenses are made to order, the prescription lenses and the frame supplied with them in the same order are final sale, except when the prescription was made incorrectly or the sunglasses arrived damaged. Contact support@olwensunglasses.com for review and resolution.
Can an outside optometrist fit prescription lenses into an Olwen frame?
Possibly, depending on the exact frame and prescription. Ask a qualified optometrist to confirm compatibility before purchase. Once a frame has been altered or fitted with third-party lenses, it is not eligible for return unless the issue existed before the alteration.

Olwen ships worldwide with tracking and insurance. International rates and delivery estimates are shown at checkout.
How long does US delivery take?
Most non-prescription US orders arrive in 3–5 business days. Standard shipping is $4.95, Priority is $10.95, and orders over $75 ship free. If a non-prescription US order has not arrived within two weeks, email support@olwensunglasses.com with your order number.
How can I track my order?
Use the tracking link in your dispatch email. For order-specific help, email support@olwensunglasses.com with your order number.
Returns & refunds
What is your return and exchange policy?
Non-prescription items in original condition may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of receipt. Submit your request through the returns portal. Return labels are free for eligible US orders; non-US customers pay return shipping. Custom prescription lenses and the frame supplied for those lenses in the same order are final sale, except when the prescription was made incorrectly or the sunglasses arrived damaged. Contact support@olwensunglasses.com for review and resolution.
When will I receive my refund?
Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method within 14 days after the return is received and inspected. Your bank may need additional processing time.

Is accidental damage covered?

With the upgraded flexible arms and spring-adjustable hinges, the sunglasses sit comfortably, regardless of your head size, and don't put unnecessary pressure on your temples.
The spring hinges afford the arms a greater range of movement and do not limit them to the traditional 90-degree angle. They have a strong but smooth mechanism, which makes them snap open or close firmly but with a soft feel.
Due to their snug fit, spring hinge frames are more likely to stay on while running or jogging.
This also ensures that you will worry less about breaking your sunglasses.

These Olwen XL aviators are the real deal for those with larger heads. The quality is solid and the sizing is just right. I have a larger but not gigantic head (like 7 5/8 hat size). The XL size works for me as it’s bigger and wider than most large or XL frames I’ve tried from many top name brands or the discount eye places. They have an even larger XXL for the really large heads. What has really helped me is figuring out what the total distance is across the front that works for my face. 148-150mm works for me, while the 155mm for the XXL was just a bit too much but still workable. If you have struggled to find a larger aviator, give these a shot. Well worth the money and fast shipping.

Working in an Airport environment the Aviator style is a classic. These are by far the best ones for driving and working in there or any setting as they cover my eyes and face well amd don't squeeze my head or feel fragile like other aviator style glasses. I love my Olwen XXL Aviators. These are the only aviators I’ve found to fit my 7 3/4” head. I love the look and feel of the Olwens. Also, having had all the major brands of sunglasses from Maui Jim’s to Costas and Oakleys. The quality is up there with any of them, if not better. This is my 3rd pair of Olwens. We purchased these sunglasses for our brother as a present and he is enjoying it.
I've had previous pairs of these shades and they've been scuffed up a bit over the years( 5 to be exact). I really love these shades. Its the only company I buy from. I still use my older pairs to walk and exercise in (they still get the job done). I just needed 2 more pair to wear when I dress up. Straight quality. Ive had Oakleys and Rayban last about a year or two. Hell, I might be able to hand these new shades down in my will.LOL!

I worked for the last 37 years as a Washington State Parole Officer. I retired 10 year ago . I have had difficulty getting glasses that fit me correctly for many years. I stand 6’9” and weighs 299 pounds. My Mellon is size 8 1/8. These aviators fit better than any other eyewear I have purchased over the years, and there have been many. Right out of the box they fit great. Amazing ! Plus prescription lenses can be placed in them, which I plan to do soon. I have already been spreading the word to my friends in the law enforcement , and the criminal justice . I particularly like how the temples are spring loaded and immediately adjust to your head. No bending the frame to conform to your head. I prefer the lens’s close to my face , my Olwen’s easily accommodate this. My thanks to you folk’s for making such quality products . At age 70 , with diabetes , I am really careful dealing with anything that can affect my eyes. I still ride motorcycles , and your Olwens cover my peripheral vision as well . Jack. They fit my face better than expected. The only problem I have is that I really wanted the silver mirror color with the silver frames. They were listed as sold out. Maybe next time.
